Guemes Island Photos
While Guemes Island has some cow and horse pastures, quite a bit of it is forest that is occupied by deer, coyotes, little warm blooded creatures, and an assortment of winged animals. The island is likewise home to the bald eagles, hawks, marbled murrelets, blue herons, gold finches and many other animals.
If you are adventurous the short hike up Guemes Mountain Trail is a fantastic photo op. The view from the top is breathtaking. It is best to have a telephoto lens of some type to capture Mt. Baker or the San Juan Islands. However an iPhone can do an awesome job in Panoramic mode. The sunsets are truly incredible. There is a great number of things to photograph on Guemes Island, Washington.
